Hello folks, and Happy Thursday! How did today go for you? Today was a busy but extremely productive day before, during, and after work. The weather forecast is warning us that a blizzard is heading our way tomorrow, so I made sure to get all my work done for the week juuuuust in case we don’t have school tomorrow. So far? Early dismissal at 12:30 PM. I’ll take it.
When lunch time rolled around today, the cold temperatures outside made me crave a bowl of comforting soup to warm me up. Since I have tried and so far enjoyed Amy’s Organic Lentil soup as well as Amy’s Hearty Organic French Country Vegetable soup, today I decided to give Amy’s Hearty Organic Rustic Italian Vegetable soup a try.
The verdict? Third time’s the charm. This was definitely my favorite of the three!
As with the majority of Amy’s products, the Nutrition Facts, couldn’t get much better for a prepared, convenience food product. In fact, except for the high sodium content (which is usually the case with most canned products) the calories, fat, dietary fiber, and protein are pretty close to homemade. One serving (1 cup) also provides 30% of your Vitamin A, 30% of your Vitamin C, 8% of your Iron, and 6% of your daily Calcium. Not bad at all. ![]()

It contains no Trans Fat, no added MSG, no GMOs or bioengineered ingredients, no preservatives, and is certified vegan and organic. It is also gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, corn free, soy free, tree nut free, certified kosher, and it contains no cholesterol!
The ingredients are healthy and natural too: Filtered water, organic tomatoes, organic onions, organic bell peppers, organic zucchini, organic garbanzo beans, organic kale, organic mushrooms, organic brown rice, organic extra virgin olive oil, organic garlic, sea salt, organic spices, organic basil, and organic black pepper.
This hearty, thick bowl was packed with the finest ingredients, including protein-rich organic Ceci beans (garbanzos or chickpeas), organic vegetables, brown rice, mushrooms, and traditional Italian herbs. It was extremely satisfying!
I also cubed up a half of a cantaloupe for a little sweetness.
Stay warm everyone!
Question of the Day: What is your favorite type of soup? (Mine is definitely lentil!)

Hope the snow isn’t TOO bad! I’ve heard both 3-6 and 4-7 where I live!

Stay safe and bundle up girl!! I’m really not a huge soup fan, however I can’t ever pass up on my moms chicken noodle, or paneras!

Thanks Jessie! Once I’m home, I’m home for the day.
I haven’t had Panera’s soup since college, and that’s going back at least seven years! Suggestions?
