Raised the Bar

Hey there everyone!  How are you today?  Is the weekend treating you well so far?

The weekend so far has been treating me wonderfully, and it all began when my lover returned this morning…

OIAJ

Oh, OIAJ how I missed you. ;)

Now as you may know, I absolutely LOVE almond butter, and I usually have it at least once a day whether it be on top of a bowl of my Banana Bread Oats or Choconana Oats in the morning for breakfast, or on top of a banana, apple, or celery as a snack.

When I made the switch from my beloved peanut butter to almond butter, the first kind I had tried was Justin’s Classic all-natural Almond Butter, and it was really fantastic; however, Trader Joe’s raised the bar. ;)

Trader Joe's Almond Butter

While many (and most) nut butters, whether peanut, almond, or cashew have hidden sugars, sweeteners, artificial flavors, unhealthy oils, or preservatives, the only ingredient in this almond butter is dry roasted almonds.  ONE, SINGLE INGREDIENT.  Simple, SO flavorful, and absolutely delicious!

The nutrition facts are terrific too…

It has a smooth, creamy texture, and the taste can not be beat!

I had finished the jar last night on top of a Granny Smith apple sprinkled with some cinnamon as an after-dinner, healthy dessert, which meant I went to sleep dreaming of knowing I will be having my Oats in a Jar this morning. :)

It was everything I hoped for and more. :)

My awesome tea-spoon helped me get every last little bit of almond butter in the bottom of the jar and around the edges.  Along with a steaming mug of cinnamon vanilla tea, it was the perfect start to a busy Saturday filled with errands, laundry, school work, a workout….

and of course opening up a new jar. ;)

Have a great one!

Question of the Day: Creamy or crunchy? ;)
